our values

Grit Over Gloss

We don’t chase trends—we chase the horizon

Steel Rippers gear

is built for real-world riders who’ve eaten bugs at 90mph, fixed a clutch in the rain, and kept riding. No fluff, no fake tough—just gear that gets better with every scar.

Ride What You Preach

We don’t sell anything we wouldn’t wear or trust at 100+ MPH

Our founder rides thousands of miles a year on real roads, not showroom floors. If it doesn’t earn its place through miles and sweat, it doesn’t wear the

Brotherhood Is Earned

Steel Rippers

is a crew, not a club

There are no dues—just shared respect for the grind, the ride, and the road. Whether you’re solo or rolling deep, you’re part of the 1918 Crew if you live by grit, speed, and realness.

Built From the Mills

Steel rippers roots

trace back to the mills, the smoke, and the hands that shaped American industry. That legacy fuels everything we make: hard-wearing, blue-collar gear with soul.

We’re forged from Pittsburgh steel—literally.
We wear our hometown like armor.

Meet the Man

Behind the Mayhem

My name’s Shawn—some call me Bagger Shawn—and this is my story, turned inside out.

Steel Rippers wasn’t born in a boardroom.

It was forged from the saddle of a high-mile bagger, somewhere between a twisted mountain pass and a midnight Waffle House. This brand started because nothing else fit. I didn’t see anyone building motorcycle gear in Pittsburgh that felt like it was made for riders like me—riders who don’t tick one box. So I built my own.

I come from Pittsburgh, where both my grandfathers worked the steel mills—one after serving in the military. My old man put in over three decades at a chemical plant before passing. My stepdad, also a vet, still busts his ass in HVAC. These weren’t men trying to act tough—they just were. That kind of grit settles in your blood early. I carried it with me onto the bike. Year-round riding. Iron Butt runs. MotoAmerica paddocks. Group rides, solo missions, rain, wind, whatever. Riding isn’t a hobby—it’s how I reset my mind and rebuild my spirit.

But I never fit into a lane. I wasn’t just a cruiser guy. Not just a track guy. Not just a bar hopper. I was all of it. And I knew I wasn’t alone.

So I started Steel Rippers for us—the ones who rip high-performance baggers, ride harder than the spec sheet allows, and light up the night when the miles are done. The ones who don’t fake tough—they just are.

No investors. No pedigree in fashion. Just life experience, raw mileage, and the belief that our kind deserves gear that’s worthy. Gear that doesn’t cut corners. Gear that rips.

If that sounds like you?
